Tonight we celebrate the late, great Neal Chandek, who established the Transfer House Band in October of our founding year, 2008. From then until the beginning of the pandemic shut-down of March 2020, Neal headed up the Transfer House Band, playing every Tuesday during that period of 12 years, minus when Xmas, Xmas eve and NYE fell on a Tuesday. 586 Tuesday nights, all told. Tonight we’ll celebrate the many sets, sit-ins and jams by keeping it going.
Transfer House Band veteran, Omar Phillips, will hold things down from behind the kit, along with Dwayne Williams on bass, and Sam Stefke on keys. They’ll be joined by a host of musicians with ties to Neal and the House Band, including another House Band veteran, Dennis Fermenich, on vocals, and frequent sit-ins such as the High Priestess, Adekola Adedapo, trumpeter Joel Lehman, guitarist Paul Silbergleit, and many more.
Reservations are strongly encouraged. Counter and bar seats are first-come-first-served.
