Neal Chandek tapped out of this realm on February 15th of this year. Had he not, he would be leading the 13th annual edition of his Transfer House Band birthday bash, which always featured a who’s who of local and regional musicians and singers who would use the occasion to celebrate their collective lifetimes of performance, of growing and collaborating together over the years. It was always a joyous throw-down. This year Neal would have turned 67 and would have had his birthday show on Tuesday, June 28th… and so it shall be that we will get together to celebrate the power and joy of the music and camaraderie that he engendered. The Transfer House Band will be kicking things off at 6:30 with Jeno Somlai filling in on keys. The who’s who of local musical talent mentioned earlier will be rotating through all evening.

We’ll be opening up the parking lot patio for the occasion, so this show is weather-permitting and will be postponed if rain or a strong threat of rain occurs.
